●The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race (The Isle of Man TT)
M-TEC will tackle the TT Zero class of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race held from May 25th (Sat) to June 7th (Fri) 2013. Last year M-TEC took part in the race with the original EV bike, " (SHINDEN)" in order to showcase the company’s advanced clean emission technology and their creativity to the world, while at the same time gaining valuable experience and education for the engineers of the next generation for the future of the company, and achieved second position, even though this was the very first participation at the event by MUGEN. On achieving this debut podium position Team MUGEN achieved the landmark of completing the race distance with an average speed in excess of 100mph; a feat that had hitherto not been achieved by any rider in previous TT Zero races. (SHINDEN NI) has been developed for the 2013 race based on the real data provided by (SHINDEN). The weight of the motorcycle body and EV system have been reduced, and the electric motor and aerodynamics have all come under scrutiny and been modified in the quest towards a significant performance increase over the 2012 (SHINDEN). M-TEC are also delighted to announce that 19 times Isle of Man TT winner, John McGuinness, will again join the programme as the Team MUGEN rider, and together with the team will be providing maximum effort as the team aims for 2013 TT Zero victory.

Naturally the technique and knowledge gained through such activities are all fed back into the design and development of MUGEN parts and accessories for the benefit of MUGEN customers around the world.
