TOKYO AUTO SALON 2016 EXHIBIT OVERVIEW

MUGEN (M-TEC Co., Ltd., President: Tomoyuki Hashimoto) (hereafter,“MUGEN”) will be exhibiting four-wheeled vehicles that present a variety of customization ideas, together with motor sports racing vehicles, at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2016 (promoter: Tokyo Auto Salon Association (TASA)) to be held at Makuhari Messe from January 15 (Friday) - 17 (Sunday), 2016.

The 2016 MUGEN concept is “MUGEN POWER 2016”. The event will see the first-ever exhibits of the “Honda S660 MUGEN RA Prototype" - a Honda S660 with complete MUGEN specifications - as a reference exhibit, as well as the “MUGEN CIVIC TYPE R Concept” - a CIVIC TYPE R with special Auto Salon specifications. In the Honda vehicle category, we will also be exhibiting the MUGEN specification S660, STEP WGN SPADA, and VEZEL that were announced in 2015. In the motor sports category, we will be exhibiting the Team MUGEN SF14 which raced in the 2015 Super Formula Series - Japan's top formula series, and the SHINDEN YON electric motorcycle which raced for Team MUGEN in The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race - a historical and traditional street race.

█ Exhibit vehicles

Honda S660 MUGEN RA Prototype

This prototype model is a Honda S660 that was customized as a basic sports model for driving enjoyment. It is a S660 MUGEN complete car that delivers further advances in power performance and premium features.

MUGEN CIVIC TYPE R Concept

This is a concept model in which we pursued every kind of possibility as we developed the CIVIC TYPE R. Based on the expertise gained by MUGEN through motor sports, we conducted repeated wind-tunnel testing and installed aero parts and functional parts that focus on aerodynamic performance and maneuverability. We are currently developing MUGEN parts for the market CIVIC TYPE R that will further improve the concept model.

MUGEN S660

Based on the “Super Little Sports” concept, this model contains performance parts that maximize driving excitement, as well as high-functionality parts which include not only front, rear, and side spoilers, but also other aero parts including replaceable front and rear aero fenders, wings, hard top, aero bonnet, and aero engine hood.

MUGEN STEP WGN SPADA

This model includes an impressive plated grille, front under spoiler and panel type side garnish, rear under spoiler that provides powerful styling without interfering with the function of the Waku Waku Gate, and other parts based on the “Dynamic Cruiser” concept. With 18-inch aluminum wheels and sports silencer with 2 pipes on each side, this model delivers an appearance that is every bit as impressive as its functions.

MUGEN VEZEL

Based on the “Premium Sports SUV” concept, this model combines the unmatchable MUGEN sporty styling and driving performance with parts of high-grade materials that give a further boost to its high-class appearance. The color is Premium Crystal Red Metallic, which is making its first appearance on a MUGEN VEZEL.

SF14 (TEAM MUGEN #16)

This is the Team MUGEN machine that raced in the Super Formula Series - Japan's top formula races. In the last race of the season, the JAF Grand Prix Suzuka Race 2, it delivered a spectacular pole to win performance, giving driver Naoki Yamamoto the top series points of any of the Honda teams.

SHINDEN YON (TEAM MUGEN #1)

This is the electric motorcycle that has been champion for two consecutive years in the TT Zero Challenge class (class of vehicles with engines that emit no CO2) at The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race - a street race held on the Isle of Man. The rider is John McGuinness, who is the lap record holder in the TT Zero Challenge class.
