With dry carbon used in top-flight racing machines.
There are two types of carbon: dry and wet. Whereas wet carbon fibres are moulded together with resin, dry carbon is made in a high-temperature high-pressure kiln called “auto-crepe”.
Although using the same shape as a standard engine cover, its light and strong finish makes it 12% lighter than other models.
The centered use of the logo makes this not only a high-performance part but adds a luxurious feel to the CB1300.
トップカテゴリーのレーシングマシンにも使われているドライカーボンを使用。
カーボンにはドライカーボンとウエットカーボンがあるが、カーボン繊維を樹脂で固めたウエットカーボンとは異なり、ドライカーボンはオートクレープという高温高圧釜を使い、圧力を掛けながら作り上げたもの。軽く高強度に仕上げられるというメリットがある。
これによりスタンダードのエンジンカバーと同形状でありながら、約１２％の軽量化を実現。
「無限ＭＵＧＥＮ」ロゴを中央にレイアウトし、パフォーマンスパーツとしてだけでなくアクセサリーとしてもＣＢ１３００の高級感をより高めている。
