Dry Carbon Front Fender |

With dry carbon used in top-flight racing machines.
There are two types of carbon: dry and wet. Whereas wet carbon fibres are moulded together with resin, dry carbon is made in a high-temperature high-pressure kiln called “auto-crepe”. Dry carbon has the advantage of being light and highly durable, which means you get the benefit of a fender exactly the same shape as standard models, but approximately 20% lighter, which has significant effect in reducing unsprung weight.
To ensure maximum weight reduction, the fender surface is not clear-coated.
トップカテゴリーのレーシングマシンにも使われているドライカーボンを使用。
カーボンにはドライカーボンとウエットカーボンがあるが、カーボン繊維を樹脂で固めたウエットカーボンとは異なり、
ドライカーボンはオートクレープという高温高圧釜を使い、圧力を掛けながら作り上げたもの。軽く高強度に仕上げ
られるというメリットがある。
これによりスタンダードのフェンダーと同形状でありながら、約20％の軽量化を実現。バネ下重量の低減に大きく
効果を発揮している。
最大限の軽量化を図る為、表面へのクリアコーティングは施されない。
