プラクティスセッションに向けての期待高まる

昨日に引き続き「ジャービィ・エアフィールド」を使用し、マン島での2回目のプライベートテストを行いました。

リー・ジョンストン選手、マイケル・ルター選手共にスペアバイクの確認作業をはじめ、決勝で使用するタイヤの走行確認とそのスクラブ（皮むき）、また、サスペンションセッティングなどのメニューを順調にこなすことが出来ました。テスト終了時には、「これ以上は実際のコースに出てみないとわからない」とコメントするほど順調にメニューをこなし、マシンの仕上がりに自信が持てる内容となりました。

今回は残念ながら欠場となったジョン・マクギネス選手も激励に訪れ、ルター選手とジョンストン選手に情報の共有やアドバイスを行なってくれました。

当初3日間の予定だった事前テストですが、無事にテストメニューを消化できたため、明日は本コースでおこなわれるセッションに向けてのメンテナンスや充電などの準備作業に充てられることとなります。次の走行は30日(水曜日)のフリープラクティスとなり、いよいよマン島TTの戦いの場へと駒を進めます。

決勝に向けてのタイヤセットの準備を行い、ジャービィでできるマシンのセットアップはほぼ完成しました。全て順調なので、水曜日の走行がとても楽しみです。

2日目はサスペンションのセッティングを中心に、基本的にとても素性の良い神電のアジャストを行いました。今の所できることはここまでで、実際に本コースを走ってみてこの先の熟成を行なっていきたいと思います。コースに出るのが待ちきれないですね。

We are raising expectations for the practice sessions.
Continuing from yesterday TEAM MUGEN tried the second practice test at Jurby Airfield in the Isle of Man.

Both Lee Johnston and Michael Rutter confirmed condition of the spare Shindens, checked and broke in the tires for the race, and adjusted suspensions without any issues. By the end of the day they said “We cannot do anything further on the machines before riding on the track.” Both riders were so satisfied with setups of their machines.

John McGuinness who unfortunately could not join the race came to Jurby Airfield to share the information and advice of Shinden with Michael Rutter and Lee Johnston.

TEAM MUGEN was initially planning to try the test ride for 3 days, but they finished all the assignments within 2 days. They are going to spend tomorrow carrying out maintenance on the machines and charging the batteries. Next test ride will be held as the free practice on 30th (Wed) and TEAM MUGEN is getting ready for the race.

“We spent the time mainly on adjusting the machine whose potential is quite good and mainly on adjustment of the suspension. That is about it as of now. We will see after riding on the track. I cannot help waiting for it.”
